Raila joins call to impugn "falling flat" Uhuru

    Cord leader

Cord Leader Odinga has said he will bolster MPs call to indict the President as he has brought on the province "a bunch of difficulties".

He refered to the educators pay stalemate, which has brought about a strike and the conclusion of all open and tuition based schools from Monday.

"I am going to bolster Cord MPs to start a prosecution process against President Uhuru Kenyatta in light of the fact that he has fizzled in his initiative," Raila said.

"The President and the DP are offspring of the court; that is the reason they are in force. They ought to regard the same court which granted instructors the 50-60 for every penny compensation increase."

He talked at Getenga Primary school in Bobasi body electorate on Friday, amid the memorial service of Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati's dad Andrew Arati.

Raila's said Uhuru's inability to respect the pay climb that was requested by a court was an "unmistakable sign" that he "doesn't regard the principle of law".

He blamed the President for rupturing the constitution saying he has no privilege to be in office, and insisted that he will safeguard it.

"In the court of popular sentiment, the President will stand arraigned for disregarding the constitution," he said.

The resistance pioneer said Education CS Jacob Kaimenyi's choice to close schools was not a superior choice.

"I am against the arrangement of CSs from outside Parliament in light of the fact that they can settle on any choice, great or awful, as they are not responsible to the voters," he said.

Kisii Senator Chris Obure said; "Kaimenyi's declaration has come past the point of no return in light of the fact that they schools had officially shut two weeks before."

He and Governor James Ongwae asked the administration to quickly pay the educators so they can come back to work.

MPs Richard Onyonka (Kitutu Chache South), Manson Nyamweya (South Mugirango), Jakoyo Midiwo (Gem) and Timothy Bosire (Kitutu Masaba) said that they remain with instructors.

Assigned Senators Elizabeth Ongoro and Janet Ong'era said the state ought to stop it can't and won't pay the higher pay rates as "there is cash lying some place".

Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi and a few MPs from the region and Nairobi were available.
