    Nairobi County Governor Dr Evans Kidero on Thursday canceled free maternity administrations after the national government neglected to repay the district for Sh165 million spent in offering the administration.



    Kidero said the move to reestablish installments was required by the high consumption by the region government and absence of discounts from the administration.



    "Free maternity administrations were a task of the national government in conjunction with the districts, the legislature was to meet the bills acquired yet it has not and now we are left with no decision yet to nullify it," he said.



    Free maternity was one of the Jubilee lead extends that were guaranteed in the Jubilee Manifesto amid battles in the keep running up to the last General Election.



    President Uhuru Kenyatta had guaranteed that free maternity administrations would be offered in every single open healing center.
