Kakamega Senator Bonny Khalwale and his driver avoided lynching by a swarm when the representative's auto thumped a lady down at the Kondoo intersection at Burnt Forest Saturday morning.
Police needed to limit irate occupants of the zone along the Nakuru - Eldoret interstate who said Khalwale's driver was speeding before running over the lady murdering her in a split second.
Eldoret East Police manager Nelson Taliti said examinations concerning the mischance have been dispatched.
"We are exploring the episode which happened at around 8.am," said Taliti.
Khalwale however said the lady all of a sudden strolled onto the street giving his driver little time to respond.
"The woman all of a sudden strolled into the street at Nabkoi intersection and my driver was not able to control the vehicle along these lines thumping her down," said Khalwale.
Khalwale said he was en route to Kitale to go to a political rally at the season of the mischance.
"I will do a reversal to the territory to take care of the matter after the rally yet the auto has been confined and the driver was additionally being addressed," said Khalwale.
He included that police kept his vehicle, a Toyota Prado VX, for review.
