A 30-year-old man is nursing seriouse injuries wounds in the wake of being burnt with petrol by villagers.
The villagers of Mwiru in Tharaka Nithi County dropped on the man after he was blamed for taking two chicken in the area.
Tharaka-Nithi County Commander Johnstone Ipara said the suspect, recognized as John Mugendi, figured out how to creep back to his home before the police were called.
