Yesterday Senator Emma Mbura headed to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at 1am to welcome 4 Kenyan domestic workers who had been released from the Saudi Arabian detention center. All in vain, they never showed up!!
The 4 included Sunra, Ivy, Sarah and one more lady whose name is withheld were so excited to leave the Tarhil but to their surprise found themselves in shackles, hands and feet chained with an escort of about 12 cars. Efforts to reach them have bore no fruits.
Senator Emma Mbura sent me the following message and we quote;
"I am in receipt of a distress message that some Kenyan's in TARHIL are said to have been abducted. That silly act is said to have been put in practice by unknown people in that Country. The distress insinuates that those in the trap have their legs and hands handcuffed and are four in number. It is alleged that a convoy of 12 vehicles is on tow and our people are on a certain police station in that Country as we speak. Naively, my informer claims he has had a glimpse of their air tickets though he is not aware of their next destination. I choose to break the news to demand for advocacy and proper intervention to save the face of impunity." Senator Emma Mbura Efforts to reach them has bore no fruits at all at all. Question is; where are they?
Senator Emma Mbura Calls For Closure Of The Saudi Embassy!
"My message to the Consulate of Saudi Arabia and the Kindom of Saudia;
Yesterday I received a disturbing message on my thread that some three Kenyan women had been handcuffed on their hands and legs from a holding camp to a Police Station.
They hinted on me that they were escorted by more than 12 vehicles heading to a certain Police Station in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Later it was hinted on me that they had seen some air tickets to a destination unknown to them but obviously it was clear in their mind that they could be facing deportation back home.
Yesternight I took to the heels and camped at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on a record 8 hours in vain. I left the facility at 2AM sure that they were nowhere within prencips of Kenyan soil. This is a strong message intended for the Embassy of Saudi Arabia to Kenya. You have Outrightly refused the four Kenyans your assistance which they do need so as to come back to their Country . This is an Outright Contravention of the Fundamental Rights and Freedom of these Four Kenyans. We are giving you 24 HOURS to ACT, Failure to which we are going to PROTEST VEHEMENTLY and demand for the closure of your Embassy." Senator Emma Mbura
