A serios rd accident has claimed four people and one critically injured following a road accident that has involved a lorry, a pick-up and a motorcycle near Coptic area along the busy Kisumu-Kakamega road.
The two people, who died on the scene, were in the pick-up that was heading to Kakamega town from Kisumu before colliding with the oncoming lorry.
Confirming the incident the Nyanza Regional Traffic boss Simon Birrir said the other two died while undergoing treatment at a nearby health center.
One of the injured remains in critical condition.
The bodies of the deceased were removed to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital, as police launch investigations into the accident.
