CORD Will returns to the streets Monday over IEBC stalemate Again. #CordDemos

The Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) has pulled out of yet another round shows to push for the overhaul of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), throwing into disarray the dialogue process proposed by President Uhuru Kenyatta Wednesday.

In a letter to Nairobi County Police Commander Japheth Koome, CORD says it arrangements to upscale the showings from once to twice every week, with challenges booked for Mondays and Thursdays viable one week from now.

The opposition coalition says it will guarantee the exhibits are tranquil by conveying marshals to guide and control demonstrators.

"The #CordDemos will be peaceful, and to guarantee precise parade, the coalition has made plans for peace marshals who will direct and deal with the demonstrators," said CORD in the letter. In the letter, CORD secretariat CEO Norman Magaya has requested that the County Commander "organize necessary security arrangements to guarantee the wellbeing of all Leaders and wananchi who will take an interest in the #CordDemos."

The notice by CORD comes scarcely hours after Statehouse impugned a before declaration by the resistance that the two coalitions had conceded to a four-part talks group to exchange on the most ideal way out of the IEBC stalemate.

On Thursday evening, CORD Leader Raila Odinga – talking at his Capitol Hill office – declared that the two coalitions had conceded to a four-part group to resolve extraordinary issues before the Jubilee and Cord groups could formally start IEBC talks. However in explanation issued from Statehouse Jubilee debated the Cord position saying "There has not been any proposal or concurrence on this four-part advisory group." String has so far held five challenges while many others have been harmed. No less than six individuals passed on since, a few other individuals harmed and property worth a large number of shillings devastated.
