Dear aspiring Governor Hon Charles Onsongo: I would like to congratulate you for expressing interest in the Nyamira county gubernatorial seat for the second time, as you aspire to be the next governor of our great county. It is understandable for any aspiring leader to eye a share of the cake in the county leadership, and if possible, unseat the incumbent governor, Hon. Nyagarama in the next general Election, scheduled for August 2017. I don’t intend to be biased in my letter since I already know where I will cast my vote come next year. However, my letter will specifically focus on engaging in emerging issues in the County Forum. Yesterday you arranged for the arrest of a group of young men, in fact two young men who, as per your accusations, wrote a defamatory story about you; something am very certain you have no proof about. You better stay advised that politics is not an easy game that you play as your mind seems fit.

There must be critics and supporters of your aspirations to be the next county Boss. In the political scene's school of thought, anyone who accepts critics, whether positive or negative, is a true leader. But you have failed your clan, your constituency and the county at large by intimidating young brilliant guys who might have dissenting views. By that, I am hereby forced to scrutinize your journey to be the next County Boss. I have been reading and monitoring your rallies and the events that you attend, and i can gladly commend you for the great and brilliant ideas that you have for the county. I am going to play just two clips that will support my statements. This clip below clearly demonstrates the size of crowds that attract to listen to you, while you beg for votes. The second clip, that i can give you a thumbs up on, is the one where you were addressing the mourners who attended the burial of the teacher who was killed in Mandera, at Nyaikuro primary school, with H.E Governor Nyagarama Nyamira County. You spoke well and made me almost give you my voting card to keep till the Next General Election. Again I play the clip here for you to listen to your well given speech..........
This is the leader we want in Nyamira County, But, Politics is either you win or be a loser. My humble opinion is that you are losing it on the ground Hon. Even your own clan doesn't believe whether you will turn every word you speak into action in real life. In politics, every step you make determines your political career, and you are losing it completely. The advisors you have around you are playing dumb right on your face when they advise you to harass the same youths who you will need to run across the county to ask for votes.
Remember, the youths are more energetic and can help you garner more votes around the county, but now you are harassing them. You are burning very necessary bridges before you cross to the other side, and you need to tread carefully. Someone said you have to keep your friends close and your enemies even closer in order to fight a winning battle. But here you are fighting your perceived enemies by throwing them into jail, how would you fight with an enemy that you have closed in a cage?
That’s very dangerous because; you will never see or hear what the enemy plans for you. You will actually never know what hit you. Accept any critics' views and act as a tolerant leader. stop using your energy in fighting wars that you can't win. I can advise you for free that the youth of Nyamira can easily bring you down. Never underestimate them.
They might not have the financial muscle that you have but they have the will, the energy and the numbers to send you to political oblivion.
